The role of the School Committee is to ensure every child at Reigate School gets the best possible education. The Headteacher is responsible for the day-to-day management of the school and the School Committee is responsible for monitoring and evaluating Reigate School’s performance. The School Committee focusses on three core strategic functions: setting strategic direction, creating robust accountability and ensuring best use of resources.

The Governors are all volunteers and contribute to the work of the School Committee to ensure high standards of achievement for all children and young people in the school. The School Committee will have Governors with a varied skill set, experience and interests to cover the vast array of the School Committee’s duties for example, curriculum, education and standards, safeguarding, health and safety or staffing.
