At Reigate School, we are proud to offer a high‑quality catering service that supports healthy eating, provides great choice and makes mealtimes a positive part of the school day. We understand how important good nutrition is for learning, wellbeing and energy levels, which is why all of our food is freshly prepared on site each day by our experienced catering team.
Our goal is simple: to ensure that every child has access to nutritious, affordable and appealing meals in a welcoming environment.
All meals are prepared and cooked in our school kitchens each day, offering children:
We follow Surrey Commercial Services’ meal tariff, with daily specials available at £2.95, which include a main meal and dessert.
To ensure smooth service, reduce queues and give children space to enjoy their meals, we operate three different eating areas across the school:
1. Main Canteen
The canteen is the central hub for school meals, open before registration, at break and at lunchtime. Children in all Year groups can purchase their food here, choosing from the main hot menu, sandwiches, salads and daily specials.
This is a large, bright and friendly space where tutors and pastoral staff are always nearby to support younger children.
2. The Pitstop
Outside children can access the Pitstop, a separate service point offering a slightly different menu and faster service tailored to their needs. Here children can buy a variety of hot and cold food items to eat at break or lunch. Children may also pre‑order certain meals at the Pitstop depending on season and menu arrangements.
3. Year 7 Only Eatery
To support a smooth transition into secondary school, we also provide a dedicated Year 7 only area where children can purchase and eat their food. This exclusive space helps our newest children settle into lunchtime routines, build confidence and enjoy their meals without the bustle of older year groups. It also gives Year 7 children a social space of their own during their first year with us.

Reigate School is a cashless school, making payments simple, secure and convenient for families. All food purchases are made through Scopay, which parents and carers can top up online. For children bringing cash, there are machines located at each end of the canteen where money can be added to their account. This system ensures lunchtime service is efficient and reduces the need for children to carry money during the school day.
We encourage children to make healthy choices and to try a variety of foods. Our menus rotate seasonally to ensure:
Parents can review menus on the Twelve15 website.
Additionally, children with special dietary requirements can be fully supported via the school’s Special Diet Request Form.
