Address from Nigel Gout - Chair of Governors
Welcome to Reigate School and on behalf of the Governing Body I would like to extend a very warm welcome to all parents, carers and students. My name is Nigel Gout and I am delighted to be Chair of Governors at such a thriving, over-subscribed school.

At Reigate School we have high expectations of our students and strive to ensure that every child achieves academically, socially and personally. We will provide a balanced curriculum, a happy stimulating environment and opportunities for everyone.

Governors take a strong interest in all aspects of school life and provide both support and challenge to our inspirational Executive Principal -  Sue Wardlow,  Head of School - Matt Alexander, the Leadership team and staff.

The Full Governing Body meets 4 times a year, and subcommittees covering Leadership & Management, Resources and Achievement all meet once a term. The Governors provide strategic direction and challenging support with the aim of ensuring that Reigate School continues to offer the highest standards of education, care and guidance to the students we have in our care.

We are always looking at ways we can improve and regularly review all aspects of School performance and achievement. This includes the skills and experience of our Governors and regular training and development opportunities are available.

Governors also support School events that celebrate the many achievements of the students.

If you would like to know anymore about the work or role of the Governors, I can be contacted through the School office.
