Thank you to everyone who attended the GCSE Drama Performance Evening on Tuesday. It was a fantastic evening and well done to all the children on their performances.
Thank you to all the parents and carers who attended the Year 8 Parents' and Carers' Evening last night. An email regarding Year 8 Options and how your children should submit their choices has been sent home today.
Well done to the Year 11s who have completed their mocks this week. Next week the Year 7s will be going on their History trip to Canterbury.
Monday 9th March is an Inset Day and the school will be closed to the children for staff training.

I hope you all had a great half term. The Year 11 Geographers had a fantastic time in Iceland over half term. Details of the trip can be found in this newsletter.
Thank you to all of the children, parents and carers who attended the Year 8 Options Evening last night, I hope you found it useful and it gave the children more insight into the subjects to help them make their Options choices.
The Year 11 GCSE mock exams have gone well this week. The mocks continue into next week.

The Year 11 Iceland trip departed today, and I hope all students and staff have a wonderful and memorable experience.
Year 11 mocks begin after half term. I hope our students are able to find a healthy balance between revision and relaxation over the break, so they return feeling refreshed and ready.

Thank you to all the Year 10 parents and carers who attended Parents’ Evening last night. We have lots to share in today’s newsletter, including highlights from several trips and events that have taken place in school this week.
We were also delighted to welcome our local MP, Rebecca Paul, to Reigate School this morning. It was a fantastic visit, and some of our students had the opportunity to speak with Rebecca and ask thoughtful questions about her role as an MP.

This week a group of our Year 9 and Year 10 students participated in the UK Maths Challenge and the annual Reigate School Young Enterprise Challenge commenced. Well done to all the children involved in the Maths Challenge and I look forward to seeing the children showcase their entrepreneurial skills in the Young Enterprise Challenge.

The Year 10s attended a careers session hosted by The University of Surrey on post 16 and 18 pathways and Merrist Wood College and East Surrey College presented to the Year 9s.

Thank you to all the children, parents' and carers' who attended the Year 11 Revision Evening on Tuesday this week. It was a great evening and we hope it will help prepare the children for their upcoming mock exams.
This week Year 11 completed their French and Spanish speaking mock exams and GCSE Drama students visited the Lyric Theatre to watch Hadestown.

This term our parents’ and carers’ evenings start with Year 11 (all dates are listed below). Appointments will be held virtually. An email will be sent explaining how to book appointments shortly before the date of the evening for each year group.

On Thursday evening we held our Winter Concert. It was a great evening filled with fantastic performances by the children. Thank you to all of the parents and carers who attended. On Tuesday night it was the Reigate Speaks final. Congratulations to all of the children who participated, I really enjoyed listening to all of their unique speeches.
Please may I remind you that it is a late start for the children on Monday 5th January 2026. The children should be in school ready for form group at 9.45am. We will be starting the term on a week two timetable.
I would like to wish all our children and their families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Congratulations to all the children who have reached the final of Reigate Speaks. The final will take place on Tuesday evening, and I am very much looking forward to hearing each of the children’s speeches.
As we approach the end of term, there are plenty of festive activities planned for the final week. On Thursday evening, we will be hosting our annual Winter Concert, showcasing a wonderful celebration of music and talent.
Just a reminder that it’s an early finish of 12:05pm on Friday 19th December.
