Surrey’s ambitions for children and young people are clear.

The Community Vision for the county, developed in 2018 by the county council and its partners, is for children and young people to have a great start in life; to be healthy; to be safe and feel safe; to feel confident in their futures and, crucially, that ‘no child is left behind’.

This means that all agencies and organisations must work particularly hard to help vulnerable children and young people to achieve better outcomes. The new safeguarding arrangements https://www.surreyscp.org.uk/ are designed to ensure strong and effective partnership working in child protection and safeguarding practice across the county and also to promote the continuous improvement of these services. The SSCP are determined to improve outcomes for vulnerable children in the county and will work together collaboratively and relentlessly in order to do so.
